Brett Egan
Brett Egan is President of the DeVos Institute of Arts and Nonprofit Management, an independent organization providing global consulting and training for arts and culture institutions. His expertise includes strategic planning, succession planning, capital and annual fundraising campaigns, board development, human resources, community engagement, and institutional/programmatic marketing.
From 2011–2012, he served as Interim CEO of the Royal Opera House Muscat (Oman), overseeing its opening and a successful inaugural season featuring Renée Fleming, Andrea Bocelli, major orchestras and ballets, with 92% average attendance. Co-author with Michael M. Kaiser of The Cycle: A Practical Approach to Managing Arts Organizations (2013). Frequent speaker on arts management. Harvard magna cum laude graduate in Cultural and Performance Theory; trained actor, director, and classical pianist.
